Things You Should Just Never Think About
It's good to know that there are people odder than me in the world. :)

Hollander Stories
Only two entries so far, but they're very well written. Go see.

Reiny Day Idea Box
Clever Rachel came up with this to keep herself and her boyfriend busy. I like it muchly.

Oceanbreeze
Sweet little domain. Not exactly brilliant and stunning, but awfully, awfully endearing, and the name is pretty. There's a quite nice image gallery, too.

SirCam FAQ
Damn viruses. You may want this.

A Room of One's Own
Seren's personal page, which ranks with Phoenix's Orb of Stars as The Elite of Angelfire. Yes, she uses the ubiquitous Jonathon Earl Bowser art in her graphics, but she does so with remarkable taste. I like what she's got here.

Cattygoths meet Madam Guillotine
I would like to think they were making this up.

Gives a whole new meaning to the line "come paradise!", now doesn't it?

Midnight Rain
Glorious stuff -- intelligent and pretty. I'd say more, but my eyes are starting to cross.

Information on X10 Advertising
Well, whaddya know. I went to visit the famous kottke.org, and not only did I discover that THAT's who created that fun Silkscreen font, but!

You can turn off these popup ads -- I don't care if they call them pop-unders, they're still popups -- by going to this site. They'll set a cookie that keeps the buggers away for a month. Cool. (These are the ads that make using Everyone.net mail services mildly irksome -- well, that and the bloody damned monkey.)

michelle.nu
She's too dodgasted cool.

Magnetic Poetry
So it's not an outstandingly original idea. I don't care. Melcena made it and I like it. So there.

in a butterfly net
*deep sigh* That, my friends, is some serious eye candy. Oh, and there's content, too. :)

Charmkins
YIPPEE!

zLaNa found me a Charmkins page. Yes, I know I said no more '80's toys -- but I love the Charmkins! They're so darn cunning.

Eight or Nine Wise Words About Letter Writing
Gotta love Lewis Carroll. "A Postscript is a very useful invention: but it is not meant (as so many ladies suppose) to contain the real gist of the letter..." Hehe...

Random Acts of Beauty
It's a pita. A pretty pita. Were it not eleven o'clock at night, I might elaborate, but as it is, you'll have to go see for yourself.

Besides, it linked to my list of French names at some point. That's gotta count for something. :)

Angel of the Day
The archangel assigned, it says, to the day of my birth is Gabriel.

Even God is in on the conspiracy. (See?)

Blue Moons
This is a site I got at Empyreal Reviews, and Blue, thank you for asking for me; otherwise I might never have found you, and you've got a lovely site here. It's distinctive, creative, and, well, blue.
--Wednesday, May 2, 2001: 03:19 p.m.

Online Classics
Ve-ry interesting. Here apparently you can download video and audio clips of assorted plays, operas, and whatnot -- and not just snippets, either. I am intrigued.

Empress Isle
I want one. Or, failing that, I want to go there.

E x q u i s i t e · Flight Of Fancy
Okay, so I'm partial to the word "exquisite". But in Samantha's case it's not groundless vanity. I love what she's got here, the soft pretty colors, the elegant layout and setup, and the creativity that lurks everywhere. Beauteous.

--Friday, April 13, 2001: 08:13 p.m.

Nazi and Soviet Art
You don't tend to think of those words in conjunction (well I don't). But Brian Yoder's put together a series of images along with short blurbs, pointing out both the intended message and the artistic merit (or lack thereof) of each work. 'Tis fascinating.

truthfully version four
It's pink. It's perky. It's inexpressibly appealing. Go see.
--Thursday, March 29, 2001: 12:47 a.m.

Unwinding The Serpent's Tail
Once in a while you run across pure gold. Like this. Writing clear and intelligent, photography to weep for. Beauteous.

Star Fairies @ Pinkplastic.net
Laura rocks. Look what she found.

All right, so I'll lay off the 80's toy links after this. But I loved the Star Fairies. They were beautifully made -- vinyl, I believe, but very delicate and graceful-looking, and much more poseable than the other dolls that were available back then, and they had lovely little faces.

They just don't make 'em like that anymore.
--Sunday, March 25, 2001: 02:56 p.m.

Starluck's 80's Nostalgia Page
Awwww. Someone else remembers Rose Petal! And Herself the Elf! And Shimmers! I'd forgotten Shimmers. This nifty site is devoted to all those corny toys they don't make anymore. But I wonder if anyone still remembers Star Fairies...
--Saturday, March 24, 2001: 11:20 p.m.

La Nymphea
This is one of the numerous sites hosted at liquidstar.org (below), and it's absolutely lovely. The layout gives me tingles... those colors. ooooh.

Bright Weavings - The Authorized Guy Gavriel Kay Site
Oooooohyeah.

This is another site I've been looking for; a Really and For True website for one of the most brilliant authors around today. And it's beauteous, too.
--Monday, March 19, 2001: 08:38 p.m.

"Scribner"
The Dryad has a new diary-type project. This is the first entry, and if it's all going to be like this I must consider myself thoroughly hooked. Go. Read. Be inspired.
--Friday, March 16, 2001: 12:42 p.m.

Helen's Homepage
Helen took my dinky little survey last night and left her URL, for which I am eternally indebted to her. It's a wonderful site full of nuttiness of a (to my Yankee perceptions) peculiarly British flavor, and everyone should visit. If only to figure out Why Elin Was Photocopying Her Knickers.
--Thursday, March 8, 2001: 03:11 p.m.

The Offical [sic] Boyfriend Clique
Oh my God. Just when I thought people couldn't get any shallower. These chicks are in danger of evaporating altogether. And they claim they have three hundred people on their waiting list.

Excerpt from the updates/blog: "Nasty people are signing the guestbook calling me a bitch. What the hell did I ever do to them? They like hate this clique for no reason. Maybe cause they can't get a man?"

Pardon me while I vomit my guts into this heart-shaped wastebasket.

POP! The First Human Male Pregnancy
Laura found this. Weird as blazes, not? If this is not, as we suspect, the best-executed hoax of the year, it's the stupidest doctor trick of the century. Either way, it scares me.

Incidentally, first human male pregnancy? Has there been a pregnant male pig or something, guys, that you didn't tell us about? Tsk.

|| suspended in gaffaa ||
Proof that Gaffaa is cool lies in the fact that I like her even though she goes in for N'Sync slashfic. *shudder* She's smart, imaginative, thoughtful, and I would never have discovered her had she not, for some unknown reason, read and liked my diary. Visit her. She's nifty.

Les Miserables: The Novel
Becca Courfeyrac's quick and dirty guide to reading Hugo's doorstop-- er, masterpiece without going nuts. This is something I always meant to write, but never did. ;) Concise and sensible. I love it.
--Friday, February 23, 2001: 09:32 p.m.

Fancy Fan
This is the site I've been looking for ever since Paulin took up residence in my brain. Maria left the link in my defunct links guestbook back in October, but I never saw the link till now. I am terribly excited.
--Friday, February 16, 2001: 02:21 p.m.

[china roses]
After this maddening experience, I found this site beautifully refreshing. Easy on the eyes, and full of creativity -- particularly the photography, which is beauteous -- and owned by a fellow Les Miz fan, to boot. I love it.
--Thursday, February 15, 2001: 06:33 p.m.

liquidstar.org
Not your average spoiled-teen-domain. Melody has a beautiful site design, lovely artwork, intriguing odds and ends, and a friendly style. Worth a visit.

Sunshine Garden: Manon's Diary
This is the first entry. Go thou and read my diary.
